Poor reproducibility – autosampler issues

Summary

Poor injection reproducibility caused by autosampler.

Cause

1. Air in flow path
2. Leaking syringe
3. Worn-out rotor seal
4. Dead volumes in flow path
5. Incorrect user defined program

Diagnosis and Remedy

When a user program is used, check the reproducibility with a standard injection procedure (full loop injections). If the problem disappears, then optimize the user defined injection program until reproducible results are obtained. Follow the trouble-shoot instructions in the diagram below.
