Carbohydrates not only provide the most easily accessible energy source for our body, they also play an important role in many physiological processes. The ALEXYS Carbohydrates Analyzer based on HPLC with Pulsed Amperometric Detection (PAD) and its dedicated flow cells (FlexCell and SenCell) assure for most stable and sensitive routine analysis of carbohydrates, mono-, di- and polysaccharides, in samples like:

System configuration

The  ALEXYS Analyzer is based on a gradient HPLC system and the DECADE Elite electrochemical detector with its 4 step pulse. For most stable and sensitive Pulsed Amperometric Detection (PAD) two different flow cells are available: the FlexCell and SenCell. Both cells are equipped with the maintenance-free HyREF electrode (resistant to strongly alkaline mobile phase). The ALEXYS Carbohydrates Analyzer (180.0054E) comprises the following parts:

  • AS 110 autosampler, cool
  • LC 110S HPLC pump (2x)
  • OR 110 organiser
  • Clarity data acquisition software
  • DECADE Elite electrochemical detector
  • FlexCell or SenCell* with Au WE and HyREF
  • HPLC column with pre-column
  • ALEXYS LC connection kit with He sparging
  • HDPE bottle kit

* for high sensitivity measurements, the SenCell is advised.
