Electrochemical flow cells

Answer

Performance of electrochemical flow cell with glassy carbon electrodes can be checked with an Operational Qualification procedure. Typically, such a procedure describes the analysis of a standard solution. The minimum required peak height and noise level is specified. In general, running the same standard under identical conditions from time to time to monitor the system performance is advised. Small variations of peak height are acceptable, to be defined in the acceptable tolerance. Antec’s PQ defines a response factor, for example the peak of 20 µmol/L glucose on a SenCell with gold electrode should be > 25 nA (5 µL).
