Can I use an USB to RS232 convertor ?

New computers not always have RS232 or serial com ports available. A USB to serial port convertor, or a PCI card with serial port is an alternative. We advise the following combinations:

• Clarity software: only use PCI RS232 cards
• Dialogue software: USB-to-RS232 convertor or PCI RS232 card can be used

A DECADE II can be controlled using a USB-RS232 convertor and Dialogue software. Not all convertors are good and stable though, we advise to use one with a FTDI chip (a Google search will show plenty of them), or buy one from us.
