DECADE Elite does not connect to USB port

DECADE Elite/Lite detector and ROXY Exceed with USB connection
Summary
When connecting the Elite with a PC using the USB cable there is no COM port created. The Elite does not connect to software over this connection.
Cause
Installation and connection of Elite detector on a new PC without internet connection does not automatically load the correct FTDI comm driver.
Remedy
- Disconnect device (remove USB cable from PC).
- Retrieve the installer from Antec or FTDI website, the latest RS232 USB com driver is currently (DEC 2020): 2.12.28
- Download and run the installer.
- Restart computer, connect device with USB cable.
When installed and correct, an additional USB – serial port should be visible in Windows device manager.
