Shimadzu HPLC with Antec DECADE Elite

Summary

The Antec ECD is connected to the Shimadzu HPLC system with an output cable for data acquisition. There are different Shimadzu ADC models, that require different cables.

  • Shimadzu CBM-20A, and SCL-40 that are using the ‘old’ PC-55N A/D boards needs Antec cable: 250.0128U – DECADE Elite SCC output cable D9 – Shimadzu ADC (or the 250.0128UD in case of a Dual Cell ECD).

  • Shimadzu CBM-40 AD convertor has a green screw terminal that fits with the standard signal cable from the Elite. No need for a special Antec/Shimadzu cable anymore in this case.

Important is to use the correct pin connectors. Use the + and -, do not use ‘ground’. Because using ‘ground’ is resulting in drifting/noisy baseline.
