Can I use Teflon for low pressure tubing?

Teflon tubing is not recommended in combination with ECD for 2 reasons. Firstly it is permeable for oxygen, which makes it unsuitable for use in reductive ECD. Secondly, Teflon tubing is indented when using it in combination with finger tight fittings. This may result in an increased pressure over the flow cell. Sometimes it results in increase of noise. The use of PEEK tubing is advised, in reductive ECD the use of stainless steel tubing is recommended. However, never use stainless steel tubing in direct contact with the flow cell, always use at least 15 cm of PEEK tubing in connection with the cell.
