Sample queue not starting, trigger not working in Empower 3

Summary

Sample queue does not start, the (internal) trigger does not seem to work. When triggering externally, the run starts and things look normal.

Cause and remedy

Although there may be different causes for such behavior, one thing has been confirmed and is easily overlooked. In Windows, the firewall should be switched off.
