Electrochemical detection in HPLC
This video explains the basic principle of electrochemical detection for HPLC. When an electrochemically active substance elutes from the column, it enters the flow cell and hits the electrode surface. On the surface the electrochemical reaction takes place, the electrons are transferred and a peak appears in the chromatogram.

Electrochemical detectors
The DECADE Elite is a fully featured electrochemical detector for HPLC. It can operate in the DC, pulse and scan mode, and it can control up to 4 flow cells simultaneously. It is the most sensitive detector with extremely low limits of detection. This video (9 min) explains all about its special features.
Electrochemical flow cells
The flow cell is the heart of the electrochemical detector, it is where the electrochemical reaction takes place. We have different flow cells with specific benefits for different applications. This video (5 min) explains all about the electrodes in the cell and specific features of the different models.
Neurotransmitter Analyzer
When developing the ALEXYS Neurotransmitter Analyzer our application developers focussed on a number of things: small samples, sensitivity, separation, selectivity and speed of analysis. Our goal is to get as much information as possible from 1 drop of dialysate. Bottlenecks can be found everywhere in the system from sampling to data handling. There is always a bottleneck somewhere in getting better results. This video (10 min) explains about the elimination of bottlenecks to get better results.
