3-Hydroxykynurenin (3-HK oder 3-HKyn) ist ein Metabolit im Kynureninweg, dem Hauptweg des Tryptophanabbaus bei Säugetieren. Für die Analyse von 3-HK wurde ein ALEXYS Neurotransmitter Analyzer mit einer UHPLC-Säule für eine schnelle und effiziente Analyse verwendet. 3-HK eluiert innerhalb von 10 Minuten und konnte bis zu einer (berechneten) Nachweisgrenze von 0,4 nM nachgewiesen werden.
