Permite una separaci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida y de alta resoluci\u00f3n de los hidratos de carbono a una contrapresi\u00f3n moderada de la columna. Una columna anal\u00edtica de 200 mm \u00d7 4 mm de di\u00e1metro interno basada en la fase estacionaria demostr\u00f3 un rendimiento superior con alturas de placa reducidas para casi todos los az\u00facares cercanos al valor ideal de 2,0. La columna mostr\u00f3 una gran estabilidad en los tiempos de retenci\u00f3n, las eficiencias de pico y los factores de cola en un impresionante intervalo de 2.600 inyecciones. La versatilidad de esta nueva fase estacionaria qued\u00f3 patente en su capacidad para lograr una separaci\u00f3n de alta resoluci\u00f3n de carbohidratos desde mono-, di-, tri-, oligo-, hasta polisac\u00e1ridos. En conclusi\u00f3n, la columna reci\u00e9n introducida proporciona una separaci\u00f3n de alta resoluci\u00f3n de todas las clases de carbohidratos utilizando HPAEC-PAD.
