El mecanismo de reacci\u00f3n se basa en reacciones de peroxidaci\u00f3n inducidas por radicales. Los diamantes dopados con boro son especialmente \u00fatiles para generar radicales hidroxilo, tambi\u00e9n conocidos como las especies de ox\u00edgeno m\u00e1s reactivas (ROS). En una configuraci\u00f3n EC\/MS de flujo continuo en l\u00ednea, esto permite la oxidaci\u00f3n controlada de \u00e1cidos grasos y colesterol, seguida del an\u00e1lisis inmediato de los productos en MS.<\/p>\n<p>La aplicabilidad de la electroqu\u00edmica y la EM en l\u00ednea y fuera de l\u00ednea es amplia, y abarca desde el estudio de la oxidaci\u00f3n de los alimentos hasta las implicaciones de la oxidaci\u00f3n de los l\u00edpidos en la salud humana (estr\u00e9s oxidativo). Debido a la demanda de rendimiento de los veh\u00edculos y para reducir las emisiones, se han desarrollado nuevos inyectores de combustible m\u00e1s eficientes. Los inyectores de combustible con m\u00faltiples orificios m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os funcionan mejor que un \u00fanico orificio grande. Sin embargo, estos inyectores de nuevo tipo tienen m\u00e1s probabilidades de obstruirse por los contaminantes del combustible y los dep\u00f3sitos de coque. Este es especialmente el caso de los biocombustibles.<\/p>\n<p>Los \u00e9steres met\u00edlicos de \u00e1cidos grasos (FAME) son los principales componentes del biodi\u00e9sel. Durante un almacenamiento prolongado, pueden oxidarse f\u00e1cilmente. Los productos de oxidaci\u00f3n como los per\u00f3xidos, los per\u00f3xidos de hidr\u00f3geno y los pol\u00edmeros pueden provocar dep\u00f3sitos y coquizaci\u00f3n en los veh\u00edculos.<\/p>\n<p>La oxidaci\u00f3n electroqu\u00edmica (EC) se ha aplicado como sistema sustitutivo para monitorizar la oxidaci\u00f3n de FAME.
