HES-Formulierungen in Form von kolloidalen L\u00f6sungen werden seit den 70er Jahren haupts\u00e4chlich als Blutplasmaexpander verwendet. In Notfallsituationen wird einem Patienten mit Hypovol\u00e4mie eine intraven\u00f6se L\u00f6sung von Hydroxyethylst\u00e4rke verabreicht, um einen Schock nach schwerem Blutverlust durch ein Trauma, eine Operation oder andere Probleme zu verhindern.<\/p>\n<p>HES wird in der Regel durch saure Hydrolyse von Kartoffelst\u00e4rke und anschlie\u00dfende Hydroxyethylierung mit Ethylenoxid hergestellt.
